In the early hours of Wednesday, a family in Kanyamazane experienced a harrowing home invasion that ended with their BMW sedan being stolen. The incident occurred around 4 a.m., as reported by Mpumalanga provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli.
The family, consisting of a mother and her children, was sound asleep when they were jolted awake by the sound of intruders entering their home.

Details of the Robbery
As the mother woke to a disturbing noise, she was confronted by two armed assailants, their faces concealed by balaclavas. The intruders demanded cash and commandingly instructed the family to lie down, instilling immediate fear.

In the chaos that ensued, the criminals fled the scene with the family’s BMW sedan, leaving the victims in distress and shock. After the intruders departed, the family quickly reached out to their neighbours for assistance.
Swift Recovery of the Stolen Vehicle
Law enforcement was promptly alerted, and shortly after the robbery, the stolen vehicle was discovered abandoned along the Pienaar main road. Police are diligently working to track down the perpetrators.
Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi, the acting provincial commissioner of police in Mpumalanga, has assured the public that efforts to capture the criminals will remain a priority.
He urges community members to share any information that might assist in apprehending those responsible for this crime, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in ensuring safety for all residents.
