It is of utmost importance to once in a while take a moment to appreciate what each city has to offer in our country. The best part is not all of these outlets are on the expensive side, so there are no excuses to treat yourself or your loved ones and Franschhoek is full of charm and life-changing adventures waiting to be experienced.

There’s so much to do and choose from, but I have narrowed it down to five great spots that I would like to try out soon, the Franschhoek Wine Tram to visit nearby vineyards or have a quiet picnic at Boschendal is a must-try, no doubt about that.

You can also savour delicacies at Smitten Café, take in the stunning vintage automobiles at the Franschhoek Motor Museum or make a turn at the Senechal-Senekal Gallery. These spots will sure make your trip unforgettable:

Franschhoek Wine Tram

Take a memorable and scenic ride through the valley’s vineyards on the famous Franschhoek Wine Tram.

Picnic at Boschendal

Boschendal is the ideal location for relaxing in the great outdoors. Bring a picnic and unwind in the gardens. The estate provides a beautiful location for a day trip.

Smitten Café

A cosy spot in Franschhoek that offers a selection of delicious food, and freshly baked pastries.

Franschhoek Motor Museum

The Franschhoek Motor Museum, an absolute treasure trove of rare and historic cars, will surely delight car enthusiasts. It is safe to say I’m definitely one of them, if I could see a Ford Mustang 1969 in person, I’d be elated.
